Our Sailor recommended Young's for lunch as soon as we landed. We all enjoyed the pork special and wow, it was a lot of food! The place gets packed too. I loved the dried pork the most. Great local place.

Way better than the closed Kapolei location that was a disappointment. Decent Hawaiian food here although there is room for improvement. I ordered the Big's Al's Bento that included a Small Laulau, Kalua Pig, Pipikaula, Sweet Potato, & One Scoop Rice. Overall a decent Hawaiian plate for $15.75. The Kalua pig was good. The pipikaula was slightly on the tough side but ok. The large sweet potato was tasted good. My slight disappointment was that I was told a piece of butterfish would be included in the pork Laulau but I couldn't find any. The older gentleman had excellent customer service in explaining the menu items and answering my questions. This family business has that old school mom & pop feel. They won a a lot of awards over the years that are displayed on the wall. I'll probably be back to try something else.

Based on the recommendations of my cousins, I stopped by Young's for lunch. Normally we go to Helena's for Hawaiian food but this was along my errand path. Some of the highlights that differentiated Young's: 1. More parking - Young's was located in a strip mall with other shops and restaurants so I had no worries about finding a parking spot around lunchtime. 2. Order at the counter - plate lunch or a la carte options. Open seating. 3. Portions - seemed more generous than Helena's. Definitely was full after the meal but this time I dined solo. 3. Taste - the chicken long rice was tastier here with a little more richness and color (maybe a little soy added?). Kalua pig was juicy and had a great smoky flavor as expected. Will return and try more of the menu.

Good quick service! Is the food the best? No. Is it good enough to fix a craving? Yes. Worth a special trip? No. Ordered a Hawaiian plate and a side order of crispy roast pork. The roast pork was fantastic. The laulau was dry. The lomi was ok. The pipikaula was ok. Overall a very ok place.

SOME OF THE BEST BEEF STEW, CHINESE ROAST PORK AND CHAR SIU IN HONOLULU !!! If you were born and raised here I think you'll like the food here. The roast pork has crunchy skin and a nice amount of fat ... which keeps the meat really nice and moist. Char Siu is moist and flavorful. Beef stew is a must !!!

So glad me and hubby decided to walk here from our place (4 miles round trip) because we sure did eat a lot!! The restaurant is a typical hole in the wall. It didn't look very clean. There was a bucket of dirty water and rags behind our table. I guess the regulars knew what it was for because I saw one couple wet a rag in the dirty water and go wipe their table down. Sorry folks, but if I wasn't starving, I would've walked out and went somewhere else. Anyway, the food was amazing. The price point was a bit high. Hubby and I each got a plate which was $24.50 each. It is a lot of food BUT I was able to finish it all and that doesn't say much because I usually can't finish a whole plate of food. You order at the cashier and pay then wait for your order. It's a no frills place so not sure why they weren't able to keep the prices down. All in all, it was good and nothing went to waste!

I took advantage of an Aloha Friday Deal today with a $25.00 card and purchased 1.5 lbs of Char Sui Pork and a large container of Mac Salad. Great place to get local Kine grinds! I almost waited to long and gave away my other $25.00 card since it expires tomorrow and they are closed on Sundays! This local business has a few dining tables if you want to dine In. The walk in orders and to go orders are on opposite sides of the counter. Great local food!

I thought I reviewed Young's Fish Market before I guess not shame on me . This is my personal favorite Hawaiian food place . I've been to many Hawaiian food places and trust me Young's Lau Lau is Da Best . For one thing its juicey and lots of Luau's leaf and the there's a lot of pork inside and the Lau Lau is huge. Also they use butterfish. Other places don't use at all because it's very expensive or they substitute it with another fish Most places it's either dry or not enough luau leaf . Young's also sell Turkey Tail which is very good moist and lots of fat and meat . Young's fish market is located in the City Square shopping center right next door to Utage and across from Kamehameha Bakery. Young's also sell poke as well along with fresh Roast pork and char Siu. Service is friendly and quick . Support local
